Andy Mac Manus is an Irish artist who has been based in London for over 15 years. With a background spanning both fine art and graphic design, his practice reflects a fluid blend of these two disciplines. Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, he also incorporates collage, cut-outs, and mark-making techniques to explore form, colour, and composition.

Recent work has been informed by themes of travel—both literal and metaphorical—as well as recurring patterns found in nature and the built environment. Music and a foundation in graphic design continue to shape his visual language. Influences include Geometric Abstraction, Minimalism, Hard Edge, and Colour Field painting.

His work often centres on the interplay between positive and negative space, block colour, and pattern, with a particular interest in fragmentation. Through abstract compositions, he explores ideas of balance and contrast, inviting viewers to find personal connections within each piece. Whether through bold use of colour or subtle textures, his aim is to create visually engaging works that provoke curiosity and contemplation.
